Situations of Serenity

Following the feelings that drive me to create the majority of my art, this series includes the images that mostly surround my life, being coastal. To many people, coastal scenes are an icon for tranquility and clarity.
I have also incorporated many figurative pieces, emanating the rich characteristics of the 50’s and earlier, each portraying the subject/s in a contemplative situation. I am romantically intrigued by the distinguishing features and attributes associated with this time period.
The use of wood creates another dimension and age to the piece, as the natural textures and colors lend themselves to the subject, giving it a unique character and feel that is unachievable with most other forms of canvas.
