<:::return to index

In recent news, at the 2006 Liquid Nation Ball, an unprecedented list of occurrences happened.

Whilst the Aquerre Brothers, who hosted the star studded event, took to the stage for the live auction, the crowd got very enthusiastic, as they encouraged the elites pockets to open and give to such an occasion.

As tensions built, one of the highlighted items came to stage
- "A Surfer's Code".

Australian artist 'Tillack' had hand painted a very unique piece of work on a hand carved balsa wood surfboard which had been graciously donated to help support the cause.
 As the piece was headlined, a bidding war took place, and the number quickly exceeding all other items previously auctioned.

Tillack had been standing close, almost stalking, one of the main participant in the bidding war - Paul Naudé (Billabong USA)

Naudé showed no nerves as he quickly ended the exciting stand off with a huge jump in the amount, by showing a bid of $20 000 which crushed the last bid of his unworthy competitor, more than doubling all other previous auction items, and raised the amount of emotion in the crowds to an overwhelming level. It was then that Tillack made his move.

Over come by a full day of surfing and having to wait at the events unprecedented long buffet lines, Tillack's hunger far succeeded his appetite for appreciation, and in circumstances similar to the holyfield/tyson event, a large bite was taken from Naude's right shoulder and revealed, what could only be described as a 'pop tart filling'.

The event was witnessed by all, as it was caught on film whilst the action was played live on the screen behind the stage, yet due to the crowds joyous celebration, the incident went reasonably unnoticed, but was only caught later when overlooking tapes.

There has been no news on any follow ups, but later at the party, eye witness' over heard Tillack talking and was later quoted to have said "...... tastes like chicken!"
