I finalized the big 5ft commission that I was working on each night
after the show that represented the story my collectors family and
their life, and before moving to the next order, I wanted to get
this email together that I had been preparing on for you.
I am very honored to think about Bella Fine Goods representing my
work, and hope we are able to make something happen.
Attached you will find more detail to the main pieces you saw on
my walls at the show, along with the description of their meanings,
sizing that they are available in, and a link to the videos where
I breakdown the symbolism of each one. The top two are my latest
originals that I have yet to put the write up and video for, but
soon should have that together.
The current galleries that represent my work find the videos and
stories/descriptions a very helpfully tool to connect my collectors
to the pieces and help solidify sales.
You will see the main body of work being Limited Artist Proof Giclees
where they are hand embellished by myself, accompanied with a certificate
to represent the number in the edition and are mounted on or in
a custom welded aluminum frame painted black or brushed metal, while
a few will be in a weathered wood style or matte black.

A
well lived life is not a cake walk.
Many prefer an existence of mediocrity that avoids uncomfortable
situations, it is only a small group that grasp the short period
of time we are here, and value the opportunity to jump with
an understanding of the risks.
The ‘pursuit of happiness’ is believed to be many
people’s right, yet it is the ‘pursuit’ of
something that is not easily obtained where happiness if found.
Wisdom, knowledge, strength and fearlessness are characteristics
we admire but are rarely born with. These values are achieved
from testing one’s self through lessons challenged by
sacrifices and failures, where we avoid the songs of critics
and break the occasional rules
You cannot stand tall without falling down a few times, finding
the value of turning the low moments into something positive
and taking the next step forward, because it is up to you to
avoid the path of Icarus, who allowed his life to be defined
by one bad decision |

Constantly
fed enhanced separation of beliefs that help keep the disdain
between the masses, brought on by what is mostly the 24hr partisan
media sources.
Some of which are looking to benefit from creating simple interaction,
while others seem to have alternative desires.
This appears to be designed to fuel the fires, like we are feuding
rival sport fans, giving the notion that the other is out to
destroy everything we know, when in actual fact, the majority
of society’s opinions fall closer to the middle.
With age, many realize that they have heard these tunes before,
as it was back in the 1960s that Malcolm X stated -
“The media's the most powerful entity on earth. They
have the power to make the innocent guilty and to make the
guilty innocent.”
There will always be individuals that walk thru life oblivious
to the Bull Shit, yet for those who are trying to search thru
the barrage of information, it is still hard to not fall prey
with certain things when the wording is intended to provoke
our emotions in order to control our actions.
The key is to look logically, instead of emotionally at most
details and how it is worded, before we attach our feelings
to the outcome.
And then maybe, we can see the thru the deceit and orchestrate
our own soundtrack to life,
…….rather than listening to More Bull. |

CREDENCE
- belief in or acceptance of something as true - 'not is true
but as true'..
How certain information is worded, can control what emotion
is instilled, or what action is taken by the audience without
the understanding of the manipulation.
There are many things we put up on pedestals (plinth) but when
such unabated trust is placed on something, this can allow for
greed and manipulation for other to benefit, as there is so
much information and ways to get it, it has been created into
sides instead of facts.
This is not new, but, with the aid of interactive media and
lack of self-research, it is to easy to create fear and this
can turn into separations of groups that seem to oppose each
other.
We were led to believe that the lone wolf is cool, but in actual
fact, that wolf has been kicked out of the pack and is usually
a scavenger. The average pack size is six and they work as a
team, relying on each other in order to survive.
With so much around us, it can flood our own minds and we
raise our hands in surrender for what we know or trust, but
it is so hard to release what we have worked so hard for that
it can be difficult to see other paths, or possibilities and
so we subside to blindly follow the flock with hopes that
someone amongst them know what they are doing. |

We
all need a catalyst to make something happen.
One of the greatest stimulants is the feeling of discomfort
as there is only a few that have enough self-motivation to get
a kick start.
Don’t get too lost in a day dream, as the stories we tell
ourselves can sometimes lead to useless thought patterns instead
of creative ideas.
Not every napkin sketch will come to fruition, you need to allow
yourself the creative power to envision the possibilities and
work on the finer details of ‘how’ later, as sometimes
it just takes an adventurous leap of faith.
If you want to go for all the marbles, you can’t waste
too much time just sitting on a couch as procrastination and
fear are the enemies of time and discipline! |

Education
is important, but as we move thru life, our growth is based
more upon experiences, and allows a greater scale for the ones
that choose to be adventurous.
The more you put yourself out there, the more you will find
opportunities, and some will require you to change in order
to grasp the full potential. If you don't pounce at the right
time, you will never strength the muscles for your wings to
fly.
You or your message may not always be accepted by everyone,
but if you base it on morality and value then you will be true
to yourself...
Our life has many chapters, a great biography never concentrates
solely on the highlights,
and it’s the struggles that beloved characters are built
on... so don’t disregard the bad ones or you will never
get the full story. |

Education
can lift you up but you still need to make the leap, we are
all confined by something inside of us but those who have been
successful have learnt to jump.
There are always bad chapters in our lives, but we need to make
something out of them or use them to push forward and learn
from our mistakes. When a decision is made, a good guidance
can be found in our internal moral compass, that is why it is
there yet our message may not connect with everyone.
The Catch to all this is that life is a Temporary Beauty, as
there are no dress rehearsals! |

It’s
hard to find clarity as we are constantly saturated mentally
by a storm of daily information.
Yet in the midst of all the noise, sometimes we are gifted a
‘stolen moment’ of time, where our attention drifts
or is directed towards new adventures, or paths for which we
desire or dream of.
With our focus in motion, and sails set to catch the wind, there
are many times we look past the abundance of which we have already
created and are living with on a daily basis…

"Throughout
life we make decisions on our future. A simple choice can create
a dramatic long term change down the track. We can sit back
and relax while life just happens, or we can take action and
make a turn.
You cant lose on a journey - you can only learn!!" -----
While trying to find a voice with my work, thru frustration,
I chose to reference a self-portrait taken while on a decade
trip around the world well before I had even picked up a paint
brush for a living.
During my journey decisions, more than occasionally, where
made over a coin flip,
which led to several unplanned adventures.
In the composition of this piece I chose to remove myself,
but in deep thought of my motivations came the symbolism of
the journey and the tracks of life for which I had been and
continue along.
To help tell the story, I placed specific items to symbolize
each part of my message.
With the immediate connection of this piece, it forced me
to deeply search my own reasoning for the paths of life I
travel, and led to showing my emotions and questions in each
one of my canvases, with an understanding that we are all
similar and connected, even if we do not discuss it with others,
or do not comprehend our own conclusion of ‘why’
at that moment.
‘True Value’ was never the currency of the coin,
but the random outcome of experiences once flipped. |

Any
and all action requires inception in your deep subconscious.
There are many that like to live their life in comfort, without
the fear of failure nipping at their heels...
BUT, there are those that will always want to strengthen their
wings by jumping.
The thought of not at least attempting to reach for your aspirations
can create the feeling of repetitive days with different character
actors as you walk through it's familiar settings.
When the time comes to stand on the edge arises, you will need
to spread your wings and never loose grip on the quintessential
basics that guides us all as a society- Morality and Value,
because this will taint any and all memory or legacies that
will be left as a guiding mark to the next who wish to follow
your path. |

As
a kid we were encouraged to dream big and allowed to have outlandish
desires and ambitions…
What is it that chokes these in most people as we get older?
Is it fear, knowledge, responsibility or society that restrains
possibility into fantasy….is it the wise, lucky crazy
or strong that are able to push all these aside to achieve what
we originally had sketched out in our school books.
There is no age limit to start going down that road, maturity
and wisdom can be one of our greatest assets.
I know that when I came to that fork in my road, I had no
anchors in my life (meaning financial responsibilities or
Dependants) and I was still semi living out of a backpack,
so to make the choice to chase being an artist was a lot easier,
because when I failed, there wasn't much to loose, and I could
easy make another attempt (and again and again). But what
would happen if it was now that I had that decision, to leave
a job I may not like but a pay check I did, to do a job that
I loved and had that inconsistency of the new beginning.......... |

We
learn from our mistakes and we will fail more than we will succeed
when you choose to stretch your boundaries.
But it is how you handle yourself at those moments you hit bottom
and understand it is a symbiosis which will build the stronger
character as long as you’re not condemned to make the
same mistake again and again!
I have failed as much as I have succeeded and I have enjoy all
the steps!

‘Failure’
is thought of as such a taboo word…..
Society looks down on failure, but anyone who has reached or
tasted success understands that they go hand in hand and you
are usually walking close to the edge.
The higher the dreams, the further one can fall.
Sitting at the bottom of the pool drowns out everything, there’s
a comfort and peacefulness that overcomes you, knowing that
this is as far down as you can go and you’re OK. But,
you don’t want to stay at the bottom, and when you come
to terms with the fact you survived the fall, it is then that
you have just opened up your limitations and are able to view
the perspectives of your true goals.
