May 4-6th Omaha Nebraska
Berkshire Hathaway Annual Meeting (Warren Buffet)
Honored to be asked to open the New Circo Gallery in Omaha Nebraska.
The gallery was inspired by a visit to the Scottsdale Celebration of Fine Arts visit last year and built in the historic
'Poppleton Landmark Building' – 1001 Farnam, Omaha, NE 68102
Andrew Jackson Poppleton, was the lawyer/politician whose most important case he ever argued was the 1879 trial of Standing Bear v. Crook, held at Fort Omaha. Standing Bear, a Ponca chief, successfully argued in U.S. District Court that Native Americans are "persons within the meaning of the law" and have the rights of citizenship

This is the last year of my local gallery Michael J Wolf Fine Arts who is the longest serving business on 5th Avenue in the Gas Lamp San Diego.
Supporting the arts for since 1996
Please visit Here where you can see my homage to their relationship.
I was honored to be a big part of the 150 Anniversary of the Gaslamp Quarter this past Tuesday night.
They honored my local gallery - MJW Fine Arts, as the eldest establishment in the area.
Also I got to personally meet Thom Hom whose hard work back in 1970 transformed 5th ave into what it is today, and is still an extraordinary figure at the age of 90, which blew my mind due to his youthfulness.
We got to spend some time with our Mayor Kevin Faulconer and his lovely wife Kathryn where my wife and I discussed the balance of family and professions...... a common ground a lot of us face.
I was welcomed up on stage in order to tell the back story of the piece I created for this event - 'The Road we have Walked' and how the Gaslamp gave me the opportunity to follow my passions.

SIMA - "Waves of the World" - 5ft by 24ft installation
Tillack was recently asked by SIMA to create the main artwork in their new OC office that symbolizes their goals, statement and awareness not just to the surf industry but to our beloved coastal environment by awarding grants to various environmental groups based on their dedication to preserving and protecting the world's oceans, beaches and waves with such charitable events as the Waterman's Ball.
The piece is called "Waves of the World" and is made up of three individual pieces each covering an area of 5ft x 8ft depicting old world maps. Placed above chosen areas are hand painted images of the waves that are on offer in this land.
"After traveling around the world for 10 years, I have seen the beauty that it has to offer, and I have seen the devastation which we have caused, and it is only growing. If we do not look after what we've got, we wont have it for long and we will only be denying ourselves, and our future family and friends!"
